WA Performance Program not continuing in 2025

WPWA advises members that the winter WA Performance Program (the program) delivered through Australian Water Polo League (AWL) licensee clubs, Melville WPC and UWA WPC, will not continue in 2025. Following the December 2024 release of Water Polo Australia’s (WPA) 2024-2032 High Performance Strategy, WPWA was advised in February 2025 that the $100k+ program would no longer be funded.

Melville dominate in the Grand Finals of the Perth Water Polo League

The 2024 Perth Water Polo League wrapped up over the weekend at Bicton Pool and it was Melville Water Polo Club that came away with the flag in both the Men’s and Women’s competition. 

The Melville Marlins defeated the UWA Diamonds (10-6) to claim the Women’s Perth WPL Premiership before the Melville Sharks took to the pool to triumph over the Melville Saints (10-4) to take out the Men’s title.
