Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy Grant

Supporting Regional Athletes in Achieving Their Sporting Goals

We are pleased to announce the availability of travel subsidies to support regional athletes in pursuing their sporting goals. This grant aims to alleviate travel re costs associated with attending competitions, enabling athletes to compete at events, access specialized training, or participate in representative opportunities.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be aged 11–21 years old and reside in Regional Western Australia
Representing their region or Western Australia
Be attending one of the following eligible competitions (A hierarchy of events will be applied in consideration of awarding grants).

2024 National State Championships (includes state trials and training)
Water Polo WA Country Championship (QLD, 2025)
Australian Youth Water Polo Championships Perth 2025
Perth Water Polo League
Senior State Leaugue driven by Gibbons Automotive (2024 -2025 season)
Fuel to go and play Junior State League (2024 – 2025 Season)

What Does the Grant Cover?

Travel-related expenses, including transportation, accommodation, and meals
Maximum subsidy: Up to $150 per athlete
