THE Melville Marlins and UWA City Beach recorded Round 4 victories in the Women’s A-Grade competition and in the process handed Triton and Applecross their first defeats of the season in the process.

There were just the two games in the Women’s A-Grade action on Saturday and both took place at Bicton Pool.

That saw the Melville Marlins defeat Triton 10-3 while UWA City Beach won a cracking contest against Applecross 12-10.

SATURDAY saw the first Cross Conference action in the Men’s A-Grade competition for the 2018-19 season with the South Fremantle Bloods, Port Colts, Dolphins and Melville Sharks coming away with victories.
