Women’s A-Grade – Round 1 Results

THE Women’s A-Grade competition for the 2018-19 season got underway on Saturday with big wins for the Melville Marlins and Applecross while Triton also prevailed over UWA City Beach.

The Women’s A-Grade competition for the 2018-19 is made up of six teams, three each from the Fremantle and UWA Conferences respectively.

Three games will be played each round during the season with one game each from the Fremantle and UWA Conference, and then one Cross Conference match up.

The Board of Water Polo WA Inc wishes to advise a new leadership group of Mr Tom Hoad (Chair) and Mr John Hedges (Deputy Chair) replacing Ms Brieanna Mercer.

With Ms Mercer having only 12 months left on her tenure before being required to step off the Board, the Board determined the time was right to commence succession planning, whilst still having an experienced Board member advocating to Water Polo Australia

THE six teams competing in the Women’s A-Grade competition for the 2018-19 season will all begin their campaigns this Saturday across Bicton Pool and HBF Stadium.

While the six teams in the Women’s A-Grade competition will be classified as being part of either the Fremantle or UWA Conferences, this season Water Polo WA will see each round be a Cross Conference fixture set up to avoid the regular byes of the last season.

Water Polo WA seeks members for the Referee and Official Advisory Group

Water Polo WA is seeking highly qualified individuals with a passion for Water Polo and Referee development to join its Referee and Official Advisory Group (ROAG).

The ROAG has the following functions;

provide recommendations to the WPAL Referees’ commission on interpretation and alterations to current laws of the game;
