Perth to Host FINA Inter-Continental Cup in 2019

The FINA World League Inter-continental Cup brings together some of the world’s strongest male and female teams to battle it out for FINA World League Super Final qualification.

The week-long event will also act as a key stepping stone towards July’s FINA World Championships in South Korea as well as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games which will be just over one year to go.

Men’s A-Grade Conferences – Round 3 Results

THINGS remain tight in the Fremantle Conference of the Men’s A-Grade competition after wins for the Melville Sharks and South Fremantle Bloods on Saturday while there were UWA Conference victories for City Beach and Flotsam.

The Round 3 action completed the first set of fixtures with each team in their respective conference playing one another ahead of Round 4 providing the first Cross Conference action of the 2018-19 Men’s A-Grade competition.

Women’s A-Grade – Round 3 Results

THERE were big wins in the Women’s A-Grade competition on Saturday for Applecross and the Melville Marlins while Triton remained the only team to win each of their opening three matches.

Beatty Park hosted its first match of the 2018-19 Women’s A-Grade season on Saturday and it saw Triton continue its undefeated start with a 10-6 victory over the UWA Rangers.

Water Polo WA wishes to congratulate Liz Burman as being selected as the 2017/18 Beaurepaire Volunteer of the Year.

Liz was presented with this award at the 2017/2018 Water Polo WA AGM. She was acknowledged for the wonderful contribution she has made to referee development and coordinating the junior competition and was a worthy recipient of the award.

ROUND 2 of the Men’s A-Grade competition saw a big win for Port Colts with South Fremantle Bloods also winning in the Fremantle Conference while Triton and UWA Flotsam triumphed in the UWA Conference.

It was the second round of the Men’s A-Grade competition for the 2018-19 season with the eight teams all taking part in games against teams inside their own conferences for the second consecutive week.
