Mixed weekend in AWL against Drummoyne for WA teams

THE Drummoyne Devils became the first interstate team to take on Fremantle and the UWA Torpedoes in the OVO Australian Water Polo League this season in Perth and it proved to be a fascinating Round 5 of action across the four days.

The results of the round with the West Australian teams against Drummoyne saw the Fremantle Marlins win on Thursday but lose on Saturday while the Mariners lost on Thursday night but won on Saturday.

Fremantle continue winning AWL ways as Drummoyne arrives

THE Fremantle Marlins and Mariners both scored victories over the UWA Torpedoes last Friday night with both clubs now set to host the Drummoyne Devils across Round 5 of the OVO Australian Water Polo League season.

Round 4 of the Australian Water Polo League season saw both Fremantle and UWA return home after gruelling six-game, six-day road trips to New South Wales for games against the Hunter Hurricanes, UTS Balmain Tigers and UNSW Wests Killer Whales and Magpies.
