Water Polo WA welcomes new Board Director

Water Polo WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Gemma Tually on to its Board of Directors.

Gemma brings a strong background in legal practice and governance, with extensive experience supporting organisations to strengthen oversight, manage risk and uphold standards of accountability and integrity. Current Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Company Secretary at Sandfire Resources, Gemma will further enhance the Board’s capability as Water Polo WA continues to progress its strategic priorities and support sustainable growth across the sport.

 

Chief Executive Officer, Natalie Butler, said the appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to strong governance and informed decision making.

“We are very pleased to welcome Gemma to the Board, particularly at such a pivotal time for the sport here in WA. Her legal insight and governance experience will add immense value as we continue to build a resilient and future-focused organisation,” Natalie said.  “Strong governance needs to underpin everything that we do at Water Polo WA and this appointment strengthens our ability to deliver for our members, clubs and wider community.”

Gemma’s legal experience across corporate, commercial and contract law has seen her support the delivery of corporate strategy, risk management and regulatory compliance and subsequent stakeholder relations.

 

“I am delighted to be joining the Board of Water Polo WA at such an exciting time in its journey,” Gemma Tually said. “I am looking forward to working with the team and our members to help drive the growth and success of the organisation and the sport here in WA.”

Gemma’s appointment will take effect on Monday 25th May 2026.
