Water Polo WA (Voluntary position)

An exciting opportunity has become available for individuals with relevant skills and experience to join the Water Polo WA High-Performance Committee (HPC).

The HPC’s role is to oversee high performance in WA. Specifically, the governance and delivery of the WA Performance Programs based on the partnerships between Water Polo WA and Water Polo Australia. The HPC plays a key role in overseeing State Teams.

Water Polo WA is committed to ensuring diversity on its Board and Committees.  Women and people from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Expressions of interest (EOI) are being sought from suitable applicants who have a significant knowledge, skills and experience in high-performance sport or related field. Specifically:

  • Relevant high-performance sport experience as an athlete, coach or administrator.
  • Understanding of contemporary athlete identification and development processes.
  • Understanding of contemporary coaching methodologies.
  • Relevant experience in sports science and sports medicine.
  • Understanding of the National Integrity Framework and its relevant to Performance Programs.

Expressions of Interest must be lodged via email to the General Manager of Water Polo WA – generalmanager@waterpolowa.asn.au.

To ensure appropriate governance is maintained, any conflicts of interest that HPC members encounter will be strictly managed. A range of skills, knowledge and experience is required from internal and external of the water polo community in WA. If you have experience in the above areas that are not specific to water polo, you are encouraged to apply.

As part of your application, you will need to attach a completed EOI form and your curriculum vitae.  A submission for an EOI conveys consent for the application to be provided to a selection panel for their consideration.
