Water Polo WA are delighted to inform our members that we have been successful in securing a lighting upgrade of the HBF Stadium Outdoor Water Polo Pool, courtesy of VenuesWest.
At a VenuesWest stakeholder breakfast attended by Mick Murray, Minister for Sport and Recreation, CEO David Etherton announced a $200,000 upgrade to the lights at the HBF Stadium Outdoor Water Polo Pool as part of the annual Strategic Asset Management Plan, with work scheduled to take place in the 2018/19 financial year.
“The water polo pool is heavily used and space is at a premium. This lighting upgrade will allow clubs to extend training and match times, allowing more people to become involved in this popular sport.” David said.
“We look forward to working with Water Polo WA in scheduling these works in at a suitable time, so as not to impact on existing fixtures.”
VenuesWest is looking to upgrade the lighting using an environmentally friendly and cost effective solution, most likely LED, providing more opportunities for night matches and training sessions.
