Round 3 action began on Saturday at Bicton Pool with Dolphins looking to try and take down the Bloods.

Dolphins did respond, however, to start the second quarter with a goal to Xandy Buckland. Once more, though, South Fremantle answered with the next two from Brown and Alex Gunnell to go into half-time leading 5-2.

That became 6-2 to start the second half with a Bloods goal from Nick O’Halloran. Dolphins did manage two of the last three goals of the term but then South Fremantle scored the only time in the last quarter from Petar Tomasevic to secure the 8-4 win and to remain undefeated.

Petar Tomasevic from the Bloods was awarded the three votes, Mark Draksimovic two from Dolphins and Will McKay one from South Fremantle.

Then also at Bicton Pool, Port Colts was hunting their first win of the season against the Sharks. It was a tight opening with a goal apiece in the first quarter and scores remained locked with a minute to go in the first half until a Sharks goal from Joel Swift saw them lead 4-3.

Colts again drew level midway through the third quarter with a goal to Luca Altieri but Melville got one back from Nick Redbond to lead 5-4 heading into the fourth period.
