The Board of Water Polo WA Inc wishes to advise that Ms Brieanna Mercer has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Water Polo WA Inc replacing Mr Tom Hoad.

Ms Mercer has been on the Board of Water Polo WA since 2013 and has been Deputy Chair since 2016.

Ms Mercer has been a Solicitor since 2013 and currently works at Bennett + Co. Brieanna has also complete the Company Directors Governance Foundations and Advanced Governance courses.

Following her election, Ms Mercer commended Mr Hoad for the manner in which he had led the organisation as Chairman, and will continue to be valuable Board member. “I am humbled by the confidence and trust placed in me by my fellow Directors and I am committed to continuing Tom’s work in growing and promoting our great game in WA,” Ms Mercer said. “I think we are heading into a new season with some great opportunities to grow all aspects of Water Polo in WA, from strengthening our top level of competitions, developing our coaches and officials and overall looking to make the Water Polo WA community an enjoyable one to be a part of.”
