Tritons/Dolphins take bronze medal at the 16&U Girls National Championships

After more than 300 competitors from 26 Clubs have battled it out over five days, it all came down to Finals day today.

The rivalry between the two Perth teams came down to an intense bronze medal game when cross-town rivals Triton/Dolphins and UWA City Beach Bears faced off. Triton/Dolphins came out very strong, dominating in the first half.  But UWA put a strong fight in third quarter goals frenzy with scores locked at various points in second half. UWA City Beach Bears win 2017 16&U Boys National Championship

29th September saw UWA City Beach Bears win gold at the 16&U Boys National Champions for 2017 after defeating UNSW West Magpies Black 7-5, in a close contest for the gold medal. After UNSW dominated early to have a narrow 4-2 lead at halftime, it was all UWA in the second half to steam home with a solid victory. Australian Sports Foundation – Grant round open now!

In partnership with Australia Post, Australian Sports Foundation have created Sport4Everyone, a grant program to increase diversity and social inclusion in sport.

This grant round focuses on inclusion and supporting clubs that grow diversity in sport and among people of all cultures, abilities, ages, and genders. Grants of up to $10,000 will be given to clubs whose programs meet these criteria.
