On behalf of WPWAI and the water polo community, we would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the Mercer family for the passing of Janis Mercer.

Over the years Jan has contributed immensely to water polo in WA. She and her husband, John came from Sunset Coast to Triton, which they set up in the early 90’s and where she devoted her time as a secretary for many years. Jan was an extremely efficient and organised person who gave endless hours to assist in the running of Triton. She has also made a valuable and positive contribution to the UWA Torpedoes as a long time administrator and Life Member. Her cheery disposition around the pool deck will forever be missed by many. Water polo has lost one of its stalwarts, a genuinely lovely and loving person.

Funeral will be held at Karrakatta Cemetery at 1.30 pm on Thursday the 29th of June in the Norfolk Chapel.
