The Water Polo Western Australa Inc. Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday October 6, 2019. As part of the meeting, elections were held with WPWAI members given the task of electing four nomniee’s to become directors of the board.

Golden Double at World Masters Water Polo Champs

With an average age of 73, the Perth Cockatoos retained their 70+ FINA World Championship men’s water polo crown at the recent event in Gwangju, South Korea.

And not to be outdone, the Pink Pointers, with an average age of 59 years, also a Perth-based team, won the 55+ women’s crown.

WOMEN’S GOLD MEDAL GAME || Competing against the Fremantle Marlins in the gold medal decider, the Thunder got off to a shaky start as the Marlins raced to a three-goal advantage in the first quarter. Madeline Quinn led the way with two goals and Zoe Arancini also hit the back of the net.
